Bear Hands Construction LLC (“Bear Hands”, “we”, “us”) is a licensed home repair and remodeling contractor based in Salem, Oregon (Oregon CCB #263563). This policy explains what information we collect through bearhandsconstruction.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

What you send us. When you request an estimate, we receive your name, your phone number and/or email address, the project location, the service you’re interested in, your project details, and any photos you attach. If you call, text, or email us, we receive what you send that way too.
Technical details. With each request we record the date and time, your IP address, your browser and device type, the page you sent it from, and how you found us: campaign tags and ad click identifiers in the link you followed (such as utm_source or gclid) and the website that referred you.

How we use it

To review your project, contact you about it, prepare estimates, and schedule work you agree to.
To keep a record of the requests we receive and the work we discuss.
To understand how people find us, so we know which advertising and listings are worth keeping.
To protect the site from spam and misuse.

We don’t sell or rent your personal information, and we don’t share it with other companies for their own marketing.

Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics to understand how people use this site: the pages viewed, how visitors arrived, the type of device and browser, and approximate location (city level). Google Analytics sets first-party cookies to tell visits apart. We’ve turned off Google’s advertising features for this site (Google signals and ad personalization), and the site doesn’t use advertising cookies.

Google processes this data as described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. You can opt out of Google Analytics on any site with Google’s opt-out browser add-on.

To credit a request to the link that brought you here, the site also keeps those campaign tags in your browser’s session storage until you close the tab.

Who processes it

Requests and photos are stored with Amazon Web Services in the United States and delivered to us by email through Google Workspace. Site usage statistics are processed by Google Analytics. These providers handle the information on our behalf. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.

How we protect it

Requests travel over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection and are stored encrypted. Access is limited to the people who run Bear Hands and its website. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you send us.

How long we keep it

We keep requests and photos for as long as we need them to respond to you and for our business records. You can ask us to delete yours at any time.

Children

This site is meant for adults arranging work on their homes. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll post the new version on this page with a new effective date.
